THE CONTRACTOR
Water Board De Stichtse Rijnlanden (HDSR) is at the heart of society. Every day, more than 600 enthusiastic and committed professionals work on safe dikes, dry feet and clean water in a large part of the province of Utrecht and partly in South Holland. We ensure that we can live and work here now and are working hard on themes such as climate change to guarantee this also in the future.
The water board is the oldest administrative level in the Netherlands, but that certainly does not mean that we are old-fashioned. We are a progressive network organization with a forward-looking approach, working upstream on the challenges of tomorrow. As a water board, we do this together with fellow authorities and our residents, for example by stimulating water-conscious living in our anniversary year 900 years of water management: Festival site - 900 years of water management

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
In this position you will have the opportunity to learn the functional management of Oracle and in practice. You do this under the supervision of a direct colleague. Together you take on the coordinating role when it comes to setting up financial processes, accountability and registration in the financial system Oracle EBS and/or Apro.
As a duo you are process-oriented, customer-oriented and (positive) critical of the internal organization. You are proactive in seizing opportunities for improvement and, together with colleagues, capitalize on these into a success. In your role, you increasingly grow into a solid discussion partner in the system area, where you advise, contribute ideas and have a supporting role towards the end users. You contribute to our wish: no (unnecessary) bureaucracy, but things are in order as they should be.
In the first instance, your focus will be on familiarization, whereby your knowledge of functional management and the Oracle system are central. After this, the following activities can be part of your duties:

providing end users with advice (about the possibilities and impossibilities of the system);
functional description, supervision, implementation and testing of implemented change requests in the application(s) for functionality and user-friendliness;
advising on projects. For example, you will set up the system for a new investment project (structure, authorities, timesheets, approval and reports);
you look at how things can be recorded effectively and you help to improve the working method within the team (including the financial administration).
providing end users with advice (about the possibilities and impossibilities of the system);
functional description, supervision, implementation and testing of implemented change requests in the application(s) for functionality and user-friendliness;

For example for the 'future-proof budgeting' project;
you ensure that joint goals and frameworks are implemented and you ensure good expectation management among the various internal stakeholders (managers, project leaders, purchasing, AO/IC manager) and external stakeholders (accountant, specialist advisors).

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL?
You are a studious starter with enthusiasm for functional management and financial processes. You feel like sinking your teeth into a new challenge.
You also have/are:
a completed HBO education (for example in the field of IT, finance or economics);
knowledge of ICT and experience with Oracle EBS and Apro are not a must, but if you do have this (for example in the form of internship experience), this is a plus;
the ambition to develop yourself in the field of functional management, both on the job and through training and education;
you are communicative and you are a connecting, proactive and solution-oriented colleague;
you are a pleasant colleague with a sense of humour.
