Together with colleagues and software specialists, you are responsible for the development of, among other things, a new Java platform. You will operate in a complex and challenging environment where creativity and initiative for new ideas is appreciated. You make a sustainable contribution to the transition to DevOps and Agile working. You see the results of your work and you contribute to long-term solutions. TenneT has a large and complex application landscape, varying from old and new and ranging from development to management activities. You and your colleagues are the founders of our new application landscape.

How are you going to do that?
You are responsible for designing, building, testing and documenting Java applications. You do this together with architects and your Scrum team in sprints of two weeks. In addition, you perform level 3 support for applications in production. You contribute to streamlining our development process and standards. It is important in your work that you enjoy seeking coordination with stakeholders from the business, projects and management.

Who are you?
• You have HBO thinking level and demonstrable experience in IT.
• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience as a Java / JEE developer;
• At least 2 years of demonstrable experience with Front-end; Angular 2 or higher is a plus;
• Knowledge of OO design and design patterns;
• Knowledge of Continuous Delivery and automated testing (such as Jenkins, SonarCube, Git, Maven, Cucumber);
• Knowledge of application servers (such as WebLogic, JBoss), middleware, operating systems (Linux) and databases (Oracle);
• Experience with modern Java frameworks (Quarkus, Spring Boot) is a plus;
• Experience in an agile environment;
• You have a positive mindset and think in solutions;
• You are quality conscious and positively critical;
• Good command of Dutch and English, orally and in writing.
