Senior Financial Controller

We are looking for the Controller of the future - also known as ESG Controller. In this role you focus on 'Environment, Social & Governance' and you ensure that the organization is ready for the future. The role has been developed to prepare the organization for legislation, processes and results that will play a major role in the future. In this position you therefore often focus on non-financial data that is collected organization-wide.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Implement an ESG-compliant reporting manual, align financial reporting with this strategy and define ESG data;
- Alignment of ESG sources, calculation methods and the reliability validation;
- Support the development of ESG reporting systems;
- Acting proactively in a dynamic environment, by ensuring a new form of Controlling, involving people in it and growing together in new processes;
- Definition, documentation and implementation of systematic ESG reporting processes;
- Making sustainability interests transparent for both internal and external stakeholders;
- Taking current reporting to a higher maturity level.
Your Department:
Within Finance & Control you will work in the Accounting, Reporting & Control department. The department is responsible for management reports and reports related to financial accounting (annual reports and DNB reports) for both PGGM and our institutional clients (pension funds). The department consists of approximately 20 professionals, ranging from expert to junior.
Profile:
- A completed university degree in Business Administration or a similar direction;
- At least 7 years of work experience in Controlling roles and/or Accountancy;
- Affinity with Risk;
- Affinity with legislation, sustainability and future-oriented action;
- Proactively and consciously looking for innovation and improvement;
- Communicative
- Knowledge of pension funds is a plus
- The candidate masters the Dutch language verbally and in writing
